• What is an outpost cabin?

An outpost cabin is a secluded cabin with a more rustic vibe.

  • How rustic are outpost cabins?

While our cabins are clean and well equipped with all your cooking needs they also provide another level of seclusion. Outpost cabins are wired for electricty; gas generators are supplied. Our outpost cabins are equipped with propane stoves, electric or propane fridges and electric and propane lights.

White Owl Lake Outpost has a gas powered water pump that is used to fill up a holding tank to provide gravity fed water into the kitchen.

  • What extra things do I need for an outpost trip?

In addition to your food, you will require a sleeping bag, bath and kitchen towels, bait, fish packing supplies, life preservers, first aid kit, flash light.

  • Where do I get bait for my outpost trip?

To reduce the risk of introducing invasive species and diseases to our lakes, we require you to purchase bait locally. Pre-order your bait from G&L Variety in Hornepayne. You can pick it up your order in town or have it delivered to the airbase.
