Catch and Release Policy
Fishing is remarkable with Buck Lake Lodges and Outposts because of the management of the fishery. A catch and release policy has been in effect for over 15 years on Buck Lake allowing us to claim a trophy fishery. Anglers are encouraged to enjoy the tasty smaller fish and to release the throphy fish that are consistanly caught. We ask that you release any walleye over 22" and any northern pike over 34" This ensures the unparalleled fishing remains unchanged for future generations.
Baseball hats are given to everyone who participates in our catch and release program.
“The fish you release is your gift to another angler and remember, it may have been someone’s similar gift to you.” Lee Wulff

Bayfield Lake Outpost
Bayfield Lake is fed by 2 small rivers and offers 17 miles of shoreline with many points and bays. Our cabin is located on a long peninsula between 2 arms of the lake and shares the lake with one other outpost. A short hike will bring you to 2 portage lakes for more angling action.
