Your Experience
Catch and Release Policy
What makes fishing at Fish Buck Lake Wilderness Lodges and Outposts truly exceptional is our commitment to managing the fishery for future generations. A catch and release policy has been in effect on Buck Lake for nearly 20 years, allowing us to maintain a genuine trophy fishery in the heart of Northern Ontario's wilderness.
Anglers are encouraged to enjoy the tasty smaller fish while releasing the trophy-sized Northern Pike and Walleye that are consistently caught. We ask that you release any Walleye over 22" and any Northern Pike over 34". This ensures that the unparalleled fly-in fishing Fish Buck Lake is known for remains unchanged for every generation of anglers who visits our remote Northern Ontario lakes.
Baseball hats are given to everyone who participates in our catch and release program — wear yours with pride!
"The fish you release is your gift to another angler and remember, it may have been someone's similar gift to you." — Lee Wulff
