Buffalo Island Lake Outpost
Buffalo Island Lake is one of Northern Ontario's hidden gems — consistently praised by returning guests for the exceptional quantity and size of its trophy Walleye. Outstanding Northern Pike and Perch fishing is an added bonus that makes this remote fly-in outpost a true angler's paradise.
At just 676 acres with depths up to 30 feet, Buffalo Island Lake is an excellent choice for anglers who prefer intimate, sheltered waters over larger, windswept lakes. Fish productive structure all day without battling rough water — and end your evening watching breathtaking Northern Ontario sunsets from the dock in total peace and quiet, with the entire lake to yourself.
Our fly-in outpost cabin at Buffalo Island Lake sleeps 6 comfortably and is fully equipped for a self-sufficient Canadian wilderness fishing vacation. Explore trophy wilderness waters from 14' or 16' aluminum boats with 9.9hp or 15hp motors equipped with swivel seats, landing nets, bait buckets, paddle, and safety kit. The outhouse and cabin are freshly renovated. The cabin features electric lights, power outlets, propane stove and fridge, complete kitchenware, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor deep fryer — everything you need to cook up your fresh-caught Walleye, Perch and Pike in true shore lunch style.
