- Traveling from the United States? Cross into Canada at Sault Ste. Marie, ON and travel north along Trans-Canada Highway 17 to Highway 631 in White River. Head north on 631 to Hornepayne. The drive along the shore of Lake Superior is stunning — spectacular scenery, scenic lookouts, and plenty of opportunities to explore. Allow approximately 4.5 hours from Sault Ste. Marie to Hornepayne.
- From Southern Ontario, travel north along Trans-Canada Highway 17 to the town of White River. Turn right and head north on Highway 631 and continue approximately 60 miles to Hornepayne.
- Prefer to sit back and relax? Take the VIA Rail train from Toronto or any stop along the route directly to Hornepayne. We will meet you at the station and transport you to the airbase for your floatplane flight into camp.
Once in Hornepayne, turn left off Highway 631 North onto Front Street and travel to Third Avenue. Turn left on Third Avenue and drive approximately 5 miles to Government Lake — Third Avenue becomes Government Lake Road. Forde Lake Air Services will be on your right.
